The Green Packaging Star Award was awarded for two designs using fresh fibre paperboards from Metsä Board at FachPack 2018. The T2 Mini Fruit Tea packaging won in the category ‘Design’ and the Pago fruit juice promotion ‘Message on a bottle’ won the first prize in the category ‘Environmentally-friendly Corporate Philosophy. P&G wins Dow’s Diamond 2018 Award for Packaging Innovation

The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) announced the winners of the 2018 30th Awards for Packaging Innovation, which recognizes the packaging industry’s top achievements in innovative packaging designs, materials, technologies, and processes. The highest honor, the Diamond Award, went to Procter & Gamble’s Air Assist, a breakthrough in performance and sustainability for e-commerce and brick-and-mortar packaging. It’s still in its early stages of commercialization. But the first package to leverage the new technology, a 9-oz package of Dawn Ultra dish soap, still managed to wow the Dow judges. Bloomdale is an eyewear brand that doesn’t follow the typical brand codes. Instead of using photography, like most brands do to promote their new models, we advised to communicate in another way.
